A Ministry for Homeschool Families

Bible Time is a weekly children’s service and fellowship time at First Baptist Church of Watseka.

  • Learn from God's Word!

    Each week we learn a key truth from God’s Word helping children learn biblical truths in simple and memorable ways.

  • Sing Praises to God!

    Children will learn to worship the Lord through song. Timeless truths set to memorable tunes help the Word stick in our minds and hearts.

  • Memorize Scripture and Catechisms!

    Every week we will learn a memory verse and Catechism Q&A that relate to our key truth and Bible lesson.

  • Earn Bible Bucks!

    Children can earn Bible Bucks for attending, memorizing key truths, bible verses, and catechism questions. These can be redeemed later for various prizes.

  • Pack a Lunchbox!

    Pack a picnic lunch and stick around after the service for encouraging fellowship with likeminded families. Our church yard is a great place for outdoor play in a safe environment.

  • Join us each Monday morning September 14th to December 14th!

    10:30-11:15: Bible Time Children’s Service

    11:20-11:45: Memory Verse Time & Bible Bucks

    11:50: Formal Dismissal

    12:00-1:30: Optional Picnic Fellowship

  • The Church Address is 800 East Elm Street in Watseka IL. We meet in the fellowship hall on the west side of the building right by the parking area.

  • Bible Time is specifically designed to be flexible for families. Our lessons are geared toward pre-school & elementary age children but older children are welcome to attend and/or help supervise their younger siblings.

    Our nursery room is available for infant mothers to feed and care for their little ones as needed, but it will not be staffed during Bible Time.

    Please plan to stay during the service time but feel free to fellowship with other parents, complete other work, or just enjoy a nice break during this time.

  • Bible Time is a free weekly event hosted by First Baptist Church. We know that homeschooling is not easy and we don’t want to hinder anyone from participating.

  • Our desire at First Baptist is to help families striving to teach their children diligently through an education rooted and grounded in God’s Word.

    We hope is that Bible Time will be a helpful option in your homeschool planning and a blessing to your family.
